"So, you snowboard. That don't impress me much!" - Shania Twain, Probably
For my whole life, I have been passionate about the outdoors. I want to be outside as much as possible. I want to make it accessible to other people, I have been volunteering for the CHILL Foundation and the Snowdays Foundation. Both companies have goals of making more inclusive action sports communities, It has been very fulfilling to see the joy spread. I love many aspects of being an outdoor enthusiast from Surfing to hiking to camping and so on. But I am particularly into snowboarding.

Contests and EventsSince I started snowboarding as a kid I have been going to snowboard contests. Usually, I ride well; sometimes I have ended up on the podium for example at Airblaster's Skolf Finals in 2021 and 2023. However, I am always much more drawn to the events that bring the community out and get people involved with nature. Pictured above Snowboy Productions Holy Bowly at Sunshine Village, 2023.

Brainbowl SessionsCommunity events have been what makes snowboarding feel like home to me. No matter where you are in the world if you find another board sport enthusiast you two are instantly friends. I have been helping with Brainbowl Sessions for the last few years, This is a hand-dug snowboard course with an open invite to everyone. The idea is to get people together, have fun, and get some cameras pointed at people who typically won't have access to professional-level camera work. This is done while also teaching shoveling and raking techiniques and etiquette. Check out the recaps on Youtube or popular snowboard media site.

Ambassador WorkBeing a "Sponsored Athlete" is super funny to me. Since, I am an ambassador I have gotten the privilege of being involved with the Product since I was a kid. This is part of what drives me to continue to work in the putdoor industry. I have seasonally gotten samples to review and provide feedback on. It gives myself a perspective that I love to bring to work. While wear testing is very important, I have learned sometimes it is better to take it into your own hands.
